The same nutrients can be supplied as a spreadable granule or a fully soluble powder. The choice is about delivery, timing and the equipment you already run.
Granular
Granular product is spread dry and released as moisture becomes available. It suits broadacre and pasture, needs no injection equipment, and is the lower cost per unit of nutrient. High-tower granulation gives a uniform, free-flowing granule that spreads to a consistent pattern and resists caking; roller-compacted granules are denser and hold together better through handling.
Water-soluble
Soluble grades dissolve completely for fertigation and foliar application, delivering nutrient through drip, pivot or boom without residue that can block emitters. The advantage is timing: you can feed precisely at the growth stage that needs it, and correct a deficiency within days rather than waiting for rain. That precision suits horticulture, viticulture and protected cropping, where the crop value justifies the higher cost per unit.
In practice
Most operations use both — granular for the base application, soluble for in-season correction and fruit-fill support. Tell us your equipment and program and we will suggest a combination.
